The Campaign Against Genocide Museum in Kigali tells the story of the military campaign that ended the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Located within the Rwandan Parliament complex, the museum preserves the site where a small contingent of Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) soldiers was stationed during the genocide. Through photographs, artifacts, documents, and personal accounts, visitors learn how these soldiers protected civilians and helped stop the killings. The museum complements the nearby Kigali Genocide Memorial by focusing on the military effort that ended the genocide and helped pave the way for Rwanda’s recovery.
The RPF building was hit with morter rounds.
