I’m Terry. this site follows my journey to places in the shadows of history shaped by war, genocide, and mass atrocities, to deepen my understanding of what occurred, to face the uncomfortable truth of the human capacity for cruelty and violence, to give a moment of breath to the victims, and to explore pathways towards reconciliation.

This is an independent and ongoing project, a small contribution towards truth and understanding.

Ravensbruck Concentration Camp, Germany

Ravensbrück was a Nazi concentration camp established primarily for women, located about 60 km north of Berlin. The camp housed political prisoners and other groups deemed undesirable by the Nazi regime.

Mybo Reconciliation Village, Rwanda

Mbyo Reconciliation Village is a community where genocide survivors and former perpetrators live side by side, practicing forgiveness, rebuilding trust, and modeling long-term reconciliation in Rwanda.
